About the role
We are seeking a Senior Computer Network Defense Analyst (CNDA) to support a mission-critical program. This role involves analyzing systems and network activity, identifying vulnerabilities, assessing unauthorized activity, investigating security events, and providing actionable recommendations to improve security and operational effectiveness.
Responsibilities
- Work closely with other analysts and mission stakeholders to analyze systems and network activity.
- Identify vulnerabilities and assess unauthorized activity across enterprise environments.
- Investigate security events and de-obfuscate data.
- Provide actionable recommendations to improve the security posture and operational effectiveness of customer systems.
Requirements
- A strong foundation in computer network defense and experience safeguarding mission-critical environments through proactive analysis and incident response.
- Required Qualifications:
- TS/SCI with polygraph security clearance.
- An Associate of Science (A.S.), Bachelor of Science (B.S.), Master of Science (M.S.), or Doctorate (Ph.D.) degree in Network Engineering, Systems Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field such as Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Forensics, Cybersecurity, Software Engineering, Information Assurance, or Computer Security.
- Minimum years of relevant experience based on education:
- A.S. + 10 years
- B.S. + 8 years
- M.S. + 6 years
- Ph.D. + 4 years
- Relevant experience in one or more of the following areas:
- Computer or information systems design and development
- Software development or programming
- Information, cyber, or network security
- Vulnerability analysis
- Penetration testing
- Computer forensics
- Information assurance
- Systems engineering
- Experience with network and/or system administration.
- Experience collecting information from multiple sources including intrusion detection systems (IDS), firewalls, network traffic logs, and host system logs.
- Experience developing mitigation strategies to strengthen network defenses and protect enterprise systems and network infrastructure from cyber threats.
- Demonstrated experience working with a variety of networking and communications technologies, including traditional wired networks, wireless communications (Wi-Fi and cellular), collaboration platforms such as video teleconferencing (VTC), and the hardware and software that support these environments.
- Experience with advanced threat hunting and incident response tools.
- Knowledge of regulatory compliance frameworks such as NIST, ISO, and GDPR.
- Experience with cloud-based security solutions and services.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Technical proficiency in network and system security tools and techniques.
- Ability to analyze complex data sets and draw actionable insights.
- Strong problem-solving and critical thinking abilities.
