Computer Network Defense Analyst (All Levels)
About the role
We are seeking a Computer Network Defense Analyst (CNDA) who can leverage information from various sources to identify vulnerabilities, respond to cyber events, and defend against potential threats. This role involves working with a diverse team to develop and implement strategies to enhance network security and protect critical infrastructure.
Responsibilities
- Use information from intrusion detection systems, firewalls, network traffic logs, and host system logs to identify potential vulnerabilities and respond to cyber events.
- Develop and implement mitigations to strengthen network defenses and protect against attacks on network infrastructure devices or systems.
- Advance your career by developing expertise in networking protocols, cloud security, IoT protocols, and advanced network security.
- Collaborate with government, military, and contractor personnel to understand intelligence needs, mission relevance, and areas of expertise.
- Apply your analytical skills to form hypotheses, assess analysis techniques, and share insights with teammates, stakeholders, and intelligence consumers.
Requirements
- Education: A degree in Network Engineering, Systems Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field, or up to 18 semester hours of military training/coursework in networking, computer science, or cyber topics.
- Experience: Relevant experience in computer or information systems design/development, programming, information/cyber/network security, vulnerability analysis, penetration testing, computer forensics, information assurance, and/or systems engineering.
- Additional Relevant Experience: Completion of military training in relevant areas such as JCAC, UCT, NWBC/INWT, or recent ILR scores demonstrating language proficiency.

- Ability to obtain an active TS/SCI polygraph clearance.

Pay
The annual base salary range for this role is $98,000 - $255,000 (USD), with actual compensation varying based on geographic location, work experience, education, and other factors.
Schedule
Nyla offers flexible scheduling options through the Nyla FLEX program, allowing employees to work 30-32 hours per week with top-tier benefits including:
- 4 weeks of Annual Leave plus 11 holidays.
- Option to cash out annual leave hours or opt out of other benefits.
- 1.3 times hourly rate after 1880 hours on contract.
- Up to 6 weeks of additional annual leave for a total of 240 hours.
