About the role
This position is for a Software Engineer on the Common Weapon Launcher and Multi-Tube Weapon Simulator Hardware Test Team. The role involves designing and developing software and firmware supporting the U.S. Navy's platforms.
Responsibilities
- Develop C applications interfacing directly with custom electronics
- Create and implement network interfaces between firmware and software
- Maintain and troubleshoot existing firmware and software
- Review and develop test procedures
- Work across teams to design and improve interfaces
- Participate in peer reviews
- Perform unit testing and support integration and test activities
Requirements
- A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related Science, Engineering, Technology or Mathematics field
- 2+ years of job-related experience, or a Master's degree and 6 months of job-related experience
- Agile experience preferred
Qualifications
- Department of Defense Secret security clearance is obtainable within a reasonable amount of time from hire
- U.S. citizenship is required
Skills
- A foundational understanding of engineering concepts, principles, and theories
- Familiarity with the software development process from academic or professional experience
- Experience with C and other programming languages
- Excellent communication skills
- Experience with Linux and FPGAs
- An interest in real-time systems or low-latency data management
- Familiarity with using Agile processes
- Familiarity with Network communication
- Familiarity with NI LabWindows
- A desire to learn and grow your technical skills

USD $110,241.00/Yr. - USD $122,298.00/Yr.
