This is a full-time opportunity located in Chantilly, VA, supporting a client facility. The selected candidate will contribute expertise in embedded software development, machine learning, and data engineering to advance critical client missions in science and technology fields. This role requires the ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, agile environment, delivering high-quality technical solutions both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Responsibilities
- Aid in the design and implementation of machine learning and data engineering solutions in support of advanced client missions across science and technology domains
- Develop embedded software for real-time operating systems (RTOS) and specialized embedded systems using C/C++ and newer compiled languages such as Go or Rust
- Apply software development expertise to the analysis of compiled custom operating systems, including learning and applying reverse engineering principles
- Collect, organize, and analyze technical information from multiple sources to drive client missions and quick-turn tasks in fast-paced environments
- Independently propose, develop, and execute creative solutions to unique and complex technical problems
- Support administrative tasks including producing thorough, complete work products that require minimal revision
- Proactively manage expectations, communicate progress, and meet deadlines in a fast-moving, agile environment
- Collaborate effectively across multidisciplinary teams, including co-located and geographically distributed team members, while contributing to tasks on time and within budget
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field with 3+ years of experience; Master's degree in a related field with 1+ years of experience; PhD; or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Strong understanding of embedded software development in C/C++
- Experience in national security, defense, and/or intelligence community programs
- Experience or interest in coding in Go or Rust
- Must be a U.S. citizen with an active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph
Pay
The salary range for this role is $115,000 – $160,000 per year. A candidate's salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to education, relevant work experience, skills, and certifications. Salary ranges may vary based on geographic location and market conditions.
