Computed Tomography Technologist - (CT Tech)
About the role
The 13-week CT Technologist assignment is based in Farmington, Connecticut, a charming New England community located in the greater Hartford area. The facility offers a professional imaging environment with access to GE and Siemens CT scanners.
Responsibilities
- Receive patients from the emergency department, inpatient units and scheduled outpatients
- Review orders and histories
- Select and execute appropriate CT protocols
- Congnorate with nursing and providers to ensure safe and efficient exams
- Perform a variety of CT procedures such as neuro, chest, abdominal, musculoskeletal and angiographic studies
- Follow standardized protocols while adapting to patient-specific needs and conditions
- Attend to radiation safety and dose optimization
- Coordinate with radiologists and ordering providers for timely communication of critical findings

Qualifications

Skills
Attention to radiation safety and dose optimization is emphasized, and you will be responsible for proper positioning, contrast administration coordination, image quality review, and timely communication of critical findings to the radiologist or ordering provider.

Schedule
This is a full-time, 40-hour-per-week position on second shift, working 3:30 p.m. to 12:00 a.m., five days per week. You will participate in an every-4th-weekend rotation and may be asked to take call, providing exposure to a wide range of emergent and urgent studies.
