About the role
We are seeking a CT Technologist responsible for performing diagnostic computed tomography (CT) scans to produce high-quality images, exercising professional judgment during procedures, and ensuring patient safety. The role involves interacting effectively with patients, healthcare professionals, and family members, while providing patient care and initiating life support when necessary.
Additional responsibilities may include mobile imaging, EKG, cardiac monitor placement, and DEXA procedures, with potential on-call duties during nights, weekends, and holidays based on facility needs.
Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostic computed tomography (CT) scans to produce high-quality images
- Exercise professional judgment during procedures
- Ensure patient safety and provide patient care
- Initiate life support when necessary
- Operate CT equipment and perform related procedures
- Adapt to new technology and procedures
- Interact effectively with patients, healthcare professionals, and family members
- Perform mobile imaging, EKG, cardiac monitor placement, and DEXA procedures as needed
- Be available for on-call duties during nights, weekends, and holidays
Requirements
- Completion of formal Radiologic Technology training from an AMA-approved or JCERT-accredited program
- ARRT certification at hire
- Preferred CT training or experience
- Licensure requirements vary by state (North Dakota, South Dakota, Iowa)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- IV certification within six weeks of employment
