Description
The Broad Institute of MIT & Harvard is seeking an outstanding Computational Scientist to join the McCarroll Lab (http://mccarrolllab.org/).
Requirements
- PhD in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Biology, Bioinformatics, or a related field
- Minimum 2+ years of direct work experience
- Fluency in Python and/or R
- Solid understanding of one or more related areas of biology
- Experience working on multiple complex projects simultaneously
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks thoughtfully
- Demonstrated ability to interact with a diverse and interdisciplinary group of both professional staff and academic trainees; including project managers, data analysts, software engineers, and laboratory scientists
- Experience analyzing next-gen sequencing data, preferably single-cell RNA-seq data
- Knowledge of data science principles (e.g., statistics, algorithms)
