Computational Physicist (High Energy & Nuclear Physics) | Remote

Contribute to research-grade physics benchmarks used to evaluate advanced language models. Solve, review, and validate complex physics problems across multiple specialized subfields. Work asynchronously with a fully remote, flexible schedule.

Responsibilities

• Help produce fully human-verified reference solutions for frontier physics reasoning.
• Write problem setups and solution validators in Python.
• Refine problem designs based on feedback.
• Work in a Linux/terminal environment with remote compute sandboxes.

Requirements

• Graduate-level training in a relevant STEM field (MS, PhD, or equivalent research experience).
• Proven proficiency with scientific software libraries through research publications or professional work.
• Strong Python skills.
• Ability to work independently.
• Comfortable working in a Linux/terminal environment.

Pay

$70–$100 per hour, with weekly payouts via Stripe or Wise.

Schedule

• 10–40 hours per week.
• Typical commitment of ~10 hours per week over an 8–10 week project window.
• Fully remote, asynchronous, and flexible schedule.
• Independent contractor engagement with opportunities for project extensions.
