Comprehensive Planner

Montachusett Regional Planning Commission (MRPC) seeks a motivated and detail-oriented Planner to join our team. This full-time position (37.5 hours/week) plays a key role in supporting local and regional planning initiatives, including improvements to local zoning bylaws/ordinances and community and economic development efforts.

Responsibilities

• Preparing clear and comprehensive reports
• Conducting community engagement activities
• Managing tasks and projects to meet established deadlines

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in planning or a directly related field
• Experience working with Massachusetts zoning regulations
• Experience in report writing and public presentations
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation

Qualifications

• Three years of land use and zoning experience (highly desirable)
• Background in municipal planning, community and economic development (preferred)
• Master’s degree in planning (preferred)

Pay

$55,000 – $75,000, dependent on qualifications.
