About the role
We are seeking a dependable compounding pharmacy technician to join our team. This role involves compounding non-sterile medications, maintaining accurate records, and communicating with pharmacists.
Responsibilities
- Compounding non-sterile medications
- Keeping accurate compounding records
- Maintaining and cleaning the compounding lab
- Communicating with pharmacists and reporting on issues in the lab
- Receiving and verifying delivered orders; restocking medication shelves and supply bins; rotating and removing outdated drugs; maintaining a clean working environment including pharmacy equipment and work counters; maintaining stock records
- Assisting in record keeping, and reporting efficiency numbers to the pharmacist in charge
- Providing quality assurance assistance to the pharmacist in charge
Requirements
- 3+ years compounding experience
- Current registration as a Registered Pharmacy Technician in the State of Ohio
- National Certification (CPhT)
- Strong communication skills and ability to work independently
Qualifications
- Full-time role, 40 hours per week
- 4 x 10 hour work week

Shifts available: Saturday, Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday (5:30 PM - 4:00 AM)

Conditions of Employment
- Working with Hazardous Drugs (HD) and wearing Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required
- Medical approval to wear respiratory protection in the form of negative or positive pressure respirators, including N95, full face respirator, SCBA, or Powered Air Purifying Respirator (PAPR)
- Physical exertion required, including walking, standing, squatting, bending, and lifting up to 80% of the time for up to a twelve-hour shift
- Lifting up to 50 lbs
- Must be willing to confirm understanding of potential risks associated with handling hazardous drugs
