Overview Overview The Compounder provides Batching Support and plays a vital role in our manufacturing process by preparing equipment, compounding adhesive products, handling raw materials, maintaining production documentation, and ensuring the highest standards of quality and safety. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys physical work, follows procedures carefully, and takes ownership of their work. Responsibilities Mixing & Compounding Read and interpret production batch sheets and formulas Weigh and measure raw materials accurately Operate mixers, pumps, dispersers, and related manufacturing equipment Monitor and adjust mixing parameters including time, temperature, viscosity, and speed Perform in-process quality checks and make minor process adjustments as directed Transfer completed batches into designated storage containers Equipment Cleaning Thoroughly clean mixing vessels, blades, presses, and equipment between production batches Follow all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) Material Handling Move raw materials using forklifts, pallet jacks, or manual handling methods Maintain adequate material inventory at production workstations Notify warehouse personnel when replenishment is needed Documentation Complete production records, batch documentation, and work orders accurately Report equipment issues, downtime, and quality concerns promptly Maintain clear communication with supervisors and teammates Quality & Safety Perform quality inspections throughout the production process Follow all company safety procedures and wear required PPE Participate in safety meetings, inspections, and continuous improvement efforts Housekeeping Maintain a clean, organized work area throughout each shift Support 4S and Lean Manufacturing initiatives Physical Requirements Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly Ability to stand, walk, bend, and reach for extended periods (up to full shift) Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to chemical odors, noise, and moving equipment Manual dexterity for precise measuring and mixing tasks Ability to safely operate a forklift and pallet jack Qualifications Required Basic math skills for accurate weighing and measuring.Ability to read and follow detailed written formulas and SOPs.Reliable attendance and punctuality.Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Preferred High school diploma or equivalent.Prior batching, compounding, or chemical manufacturing experience.Forklift certification, or willingness to obtain.
