Responsibilities
- Retrieve ingredients and accurately measure them using scales in accordance with standard batch instructions.
- Mix various liquid and powder ingredients and process them using homogenizing and spray dry methods of compounding.
- Identify solid ingredients that require melting and safely melt them using hot plates.
- Identify ingredients that require dilution, dilute them appropriately, and record all raw material usage.
- Verify the weight and contents of raw materials to maintain quality standards.
- Conduct in-process batch inspections and document all process events following established procedures and policies.
- Accurately weigh dyes and other substances into equipment as specified in batch instructions.
- Check for consistency in batches and measure the viscosity of mixtures to ensure product quality.
- Collect samples from batches and deliver them to the laboratory for testing.
- Follow food safety guidelines at all times and maintain accurate documentation of all work completed.
- Handle and blend raw materials in accordance with production and safety requirements.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience in a similar role preferred.
- Knowledge of GMP and food safety standards.
- Ability to follow detailed instructions and procedures.
- Basic computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Pay and Schedule
- The pay range for this position is $57,200.00 - $57,200.00/yr.
- This role operates on 3rd shift, typically scheduled Monday through Friday or Tuesday through Saturday from 12:00 a.m. to 8:30 a.m.
