About the role
Responsible for grinding PVC lineals that are outside VEKA’s specifications.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for grinding off standard PVC lineals
- Ensures all grinded lineals are clean and free of weather strip or other contamination
- Properly operates grinder within operating parameters and safety requirements
- Maintains excellent housekeeping in grinding area
- Operates forklift to move full and empty racks in and out of grinding room
- Wears all required PPE for grinder operation
- All other duties as assigned
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Certified Forklift Operator license required

- Mechanical aptitude
- Dependable and punctual
- Ability to work independently and with accuracy
- Drive to take initiative
- Good oral communication skills
- Good collaboration skills in a tactful and diplomatic manner
Schedule
Two positions available: 1 Daylight grinder 9am - 5 pm and 1 Daylight grinder 12 hour shift (223 schedule 7a-7p)
