Composites Manufacturing Production Manager
Lanteris Space is seeking a driven, action-oriented Composites Manufacturing Production Manager to join our team in Mountain View, CA.
About the role
Lead day-to-day production operations within the Composites Technology department, ensuring safe, high-quality, and on-time delivery of flight hardware.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and develop a team of 10-20 Composites Technicians with skill levels ranging from new hires to highly skilled
- Assign daily work, monitor performance, and provide ongoing feedback through regular one-on-ones, quarterly reviews, and annual performance evaluations
- Oversee daily production activities to ensure schedule adherence and quality standards
- Actively participate in technician training, skill development, and cross-functional training initiatives
- Provide daily production priorities and ensure alignment across shifts and teams
- Audit flight hardware quality and enforce adherence to specifications and workmanship standards
- Drive process improvements and corrective actions to enhance product quality and reduce defects
- Implement and maintain ISO 9001 compliance within the Composites manufacturing area
- Ensure adherence to health, safety, and environmental standards and policies
- Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce waste
Requirements
- Must be a US Citizen or permanent resident
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Materials Science, or related field. Four additional years of experience may be substituted in lieu of a degree
- 5 years of industrial engineering experience
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, production planning, and shop floor operations
Qualifications
- Experience in composite manufacturing or aerospace production environments
- Working knowledge of composite materials, layup processes, curing, and finishing techniques
- Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma certification
- Experience with ISO 9001 quality management systems
Schedule
Full-time, typically Monday-Friday with flexibility to support shift coverage and production demands as needed.
Pay
The base pay for this position within California is $108,000.00 - $180,000.00 annually. For all other states, geographic cost of labor is used to develop market-driven ranges. The successful candidate’s starting pay will be determined based on job-related factors, including experience, qualifications, knowledge, skills, and geographic work location.
This position is incentive eligible with a target based on contribution, company performance, and/or individual results achieved.
