About the role
R&P Technologies is seeking a Marine Composite Technician Level I to join our team in Pascagoula, MS. The position involves assisting with the installation and repair of composite lamination and Radar Absorbing Material (RAM) on US Navy ships.
Responsibilities
- Execute composite and RAM installation trade repairs and modifications to shipboard composite and RAM structures
- Ensure work complies with applicable installation procedures and practices
- Complete and retain all required documentation in the project QA book
- Report daily progress updates to supervisor or lead
- Maintain quality standards associated with composite repair and installation
- Work shipboard availabilities with a small crew
- Adhere to all safety precautions and regulations
- Handle and dispose of composite and hazardous materials safely
- Support Navy movement with flexibility in scheduling
Requirements
- First and foremost, responsibility and attention to safety precautions
- Prior shipboard experience preferred, but not required
- Composite and RAM certification and qualification training required
- OSHA 10 required or willingness to obtain
- In-house and shipyard access safety training completion
- Physical ability to work in an industrial, shipyard, and shipboard environment
- Able to lift 50 pounds independently
- Willingness to travel to various locations
- Valid Security Clearance or ability to qualify and maintain one
- Punctuality and reliability

Qualifications
- Thorough knowledge of safety procedures and guidelines
- Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- U.S. Citizenship
- U.S. Veteran status is a plus
