Responsibilities
- Perform lay-up, braiding, and filament winding of composite materials per customer and company specifications.
- Bond dissimilar materials (composite, metal, or laminate) into semi-finished or finished products.
- Lay out articles and cut parts or materials to size; apply bonding agents.
- Operate autoclave, hydraulic presses, and ovens to complete bonding cycles, controlling heat, pressure, and timing.
- Sand, burr, and smooth areas; apply sealing resins to cut or exposed edges.
- Monitor and verify quality of finished products; complete repairs using inspection and rework instructions.
- Identify process materials, prepregs, adhesives, and resins; assist with cutting and kitting materials.
- Complete lay-ups using measuring instruments per shop orders, blueprints, or laser ply projector.
- Vacuum bag basic shapes and sizes; assist in loading autoclaves and/or ovens using forklifts, cranes, or handling carts.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Must be a US Person (visa sponsorship not offered).
