Responsibilities

  • Inspect and photograph internal and external blade damage using blade cards, document findings, and assemble paperwork for Engineering Dept.
  • Perform composite repairs on blades, spinners, and nacelles, following Work Instructions.
  • Support LOTO procedures on wind turbine generators.
  • Carry out “status” checks, clear error codes, and repair issues.
  • Utilize blade access platforms, boom trucks, and rope access at heights of 300ft or more.
  • Assist with or perform basic quality audits of less experienced staff and third-party customer work.
  • Communicate site status to management and local customer site personnel.

Qualifications

  • Completed EDF-RS Composite Key Fundamentals Training.
  • Accrued 8 or more hours of on-the-job training from a Senior or Advanced Composite Repair Technician.
  • Documented knowledge and skills from EDF-RS training on form OM-13-5 101.
  • Inspection and reporting of uncomplicated surface damage.
  • Perform small cosmetic repairs under supervision.
  • Able to demonstrate basic computer knowledge and follow both verbal and written instructions.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.

Physical Requirements

  • Regularly stand, climb, use hands to fingers, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms.
  • Frequently lift and/or move up to 35 pounds, occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
  • Work at heights, including climbing up and descending towers, working from a suspended platform or manlift, entering nacelles and hubs at extreme heights.
  • Operate company vehicles (field trucks) both on site and on public roads and highways.
  • Maintain neat and orderly work environment.

Pay

The full pay range for this role is $22.69 - $37.79 per hour, with a good faith estimated starting pay of $29.00 to $39.00 per hour. Salary decisions are based on relevant work and leadership experience, education, demonstrated performance, internal equity, and sometimes geographic location.
