Composite Layup Technician | Manufacturing Dir. Composites

About the role

BETA Technologies is seeking a Composite Layup Technician to join our dynamic manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in composite fabrication techniques and a passion for sustainable aviation.

Responsibilities

• Working hands-on in a shop environment, as a team member, on a range of composite fabrication tasks.
• High Attention to detail.
• Able to accurately record job progress in ERP applications.
• Excellent work ethic.
• Effective use of power tools, air tools and hand tools safely and efficiently.
• Composite parts fabrication using prepreg carbon fiber materials, wet layups and vacuum infusion.
• Large-scale bonded and fastened composite assemblies.
• Layup and/or infusion of carbon fiber tools for composite parts.
• Experience building items requiring detailed, hands-on craftsmanship.
• Organize and maintain composites area including work centers, tools, fabric racks, etc.
• Assist with timeline management and keep necessary teams updated on status and progress.
• Experience with some form of composite processes.
• Perform all tasks in a safe and responsible manner.
• Work with a high level of independence, quality and integrity.
• Maintain a work area in a clean, orderly, and organized manner.
• Flexibility to pivot between tasks throughout the work day.
• Automotive Body Skills a plus.

Requirements

• 2+ years experience.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
