Compliance Specialist

About the Role

Western Veterinary Partners is seeking a Compliance Specialist to join our team. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional who enjoys collaborating across departments, managing multiple priorities, and ensuring our organization remains compliant with applicable regulations and internal policies. This position plays a key role in supporting our veterinary hospitals and corporate teams while helping foster a culture of integrity and accountability. This is a hybrid position (2 days per week in-office) based in central Denver.

Responsibilities

• Support the administration and execution of WVP's compliance programs, policies, and procedures.
• Monitor and maintain compliance with federal, state, and local regulatory requirements applicable to veterinary hospitals and corporate operations.
• Coordinate compliance-related onboarding, training, and documentation for new and existing team members.
• Conduct routine audits and reviews to identify compliance risks and recommend corrective actions.
• Maintain accurate compliance records, reports, licenses, certifications, and regulatory documentation.
• Partner with Operations, Human Resources, Legal, Finance, and hospital leadership to ensure compliance initiatives are implemented effectively.
• Assist with investigations related to compliance concerns and document findings appropriately.
• Track regulatory changes and communicate updates to stakeholders while helping implement necessary process improvements.
• Support responses to audits, regulatory inquiries, and accreditation requirements.
• Prepare compliance reports, metrics, and ad hoc analyses for leadership.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, or a related field.
• 2+ years of experience in compliance, risk management, audit, healthcare administration, human resources, or a related field.
• Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to interpret policies, regulations, and procedural documentation.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively across all levels of the organization.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• High degree of integrity and professionalism when handling confidential information.
• Self-motivated team player with a collaborative, solutions-oriented mindset.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working in a healthcare, veterinary, dental, or other multi-site organization.
• Familiarity with compliance frameworks, internal audits, licensing, or regulatory reporting.
• Experience supporting a rapidly growing or private equity-backed organization.

Pay & Benefits

• Salary range: $61,000 - $64,000 annually (Colorado pay range: $61,500—$64,000 USD).
• Comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, and vision benefits, vacation, sick leave, 401(k), and more depending on location.
• Position also eligible for bonus and incentive compensation.
