Compliance Specialist
Pay Range: $25.48 - $33.98
About the role
This position is responsible for analyzing, evaluating, monitoring and/or documenting compliance activities while communicating and making recommendations to management to help ensure the company complies with applicable laws, regulations, policies or procedures. Compliance Specialists perform a wide range of tasks. Whether it is executing testing or providing operational, technical support, tasks involve thoughtfully, effectively and efficiently reviewing data, transactions, records, processes and other outcomes according to departmental policies and procedures. This work is completed independently with minimal supervision when completing assignments in accordance with department standards for timeliness, accuracy and completeness.
Responsibilities
- Complete low to moderately complex and/or lower risk assignments by thoughtfully, effectively and efficiently reviewing data, transactions, records, processes and other outcomes according to departmental policies and procedures timely and according to department standards.
- Develop summary information and recommendations based on results of your assignments and support the development and maintenance of information reports for communicating testing performance, results, and impacts.
- Research, study and learn applicable laws and regulations, product features, systems and processes.
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
Education and Experience: 3-5 years of Banking or Regulatory related experience (or educational equivalent)
Skills and Abilities: Strong written and verbal communication skillsAbility to work independently as well as in a team environmentStrong analytical skills and creative problem solverStrong collaboration skills and ability to establish working relationships at all levels of the companyProficient in Microsoft Office 365Strong research skills and familiarity with banking laws and regulationsDemonstrated ability to perform in a fast-paced environment, completing many tasks simultaneously while maintaining strong attention to detail and an appropriate sense of urgency
