Compliance Representative - Lead
Job Description and Duties
The incumbent performs as the Compliance Representative Lead in the Public Collections, Contracts and Support Team. They provide support for the Non-Tax Debt and Offset/Intercept tax collection programs. They process correspondence and faxes, modify levies, and perform various account transactions for the programs in the section. They generally provide technical assistance to Tax Program Technician I’s and temporary help staff. They participate as a team member in the group and in the operational change process with peers and others to identify and resolve work-related issues, consistent with the department’s Mission and Values.
Working Conditions
This position requires 4 or more days in the office per week. It is designated office-centered and may be eligible for some remote work based on departmental guidelines and operational need.

Special Requirements
The position(s) require(s) a Background Investigation be cleared prior to being hired.
Desirable Qualifications
- Familiarity with Franchise Tax Board (FTB) organization, operations, programs, and related systems
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
- Experience with developing and maintaining procedures
- Ability to apply appropriate laws, rules, regulations, policies and/or procedures that will produce desired results
- Ability to lead teams and projects to accomplish objectives
- Ability to review work and provide effective feedback
- Ability to communicate effectively and have strong written/verbal communication skills
- Ability to effectively work independently and in a team environment
- Ability to analyze data, situations, utilize good judgment, and take effective actions
- Ability to shift priorities, workloads, and work schedule to meet operational needs
- Proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
