About the role

The W Group — New York State's largest provider of senior living and adult care — is seeking a Compliance Quality Auditor for a field‑based, multi‑facility position. Reporting to the Compliance Officer, you will conduct structured audits across ACF, ALP, and LHCSA facilities, identify gaps, support corrective action, and help keep facilities survey‑ready. The role emphasizes partnership rather than inspection.

Responsibilities

  • Audit Execution: Conduct scheduled internal compliance audits using standardized tools and checklists; gather objective evidence through documentation review, direct observation, and staff interviews; complete thorough audit reports and submit them to the Compliance Officer before any facility leadership communication.
  • Follow‑Up & Validation: Perform re‑audits to assess corrective‑action effectiveness; verify that Plans of Correction are being carried out as written; flag any incomplete or ineffective corrective actions.
  • Documentation & Trending: Maintain organized audit records in the centralized tracking system (ALIS); identify recurring findings and cross‑facility patterns for the Compliance Officer; assist in compiling audit data for trend reports.
  • Survey Readiness Support: Participate in DOH survey readiness activities as directed; identify documentation gaps and operational vulnerabilities ahead of surveys; provide on‑site support during active DOH surveys when needed.
  • Facility Engagement: Build respectful, professional relationships with facility administrators and staff; clearly communicate audit scope and purpose at each site visit; refer all regulatory interpretation questions to the Compliance Officer.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required; Healthcare Administration, Nursing, Social Work, or related field preferred.
  • 2+ years of hands‑on experience conducting audits, inspections, or structured compliance reviews in assisted living, ACF, LHCSA, or healthcare compliance operations preferred.
  • Working knowledge of NYS DOH survey processes and ACF/ALP/LHCSA regulatory requirements.
  • Experience supporting or leading survey readiness activities or Plan of Correction follow‑up.
  • Strong written communication and documentation skills; ability to produce audit reports that withstand scrutiny.
  • Highly organized and self‑directed; comfortable managing an independent field schedule across multiple sites.
  • Proficiency with electronic records systems; ALIS experience a plus.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required.

Benefits

  • Competitive salary with mileage/travel reimbursement at the current IRS rate.
  • Meaningful work with direct impact on resident care quality.
  • Collaborative, mission‑driven compliance team.
  • Multi‑facility exposure across one of New York’s most established senior‑care organizations.
  • Growth path within the compliance function as the team scales.

Pay

$63,000.00 – $75,000.00 annually, based on experience.
