Compliance Officer

About the role

Lakeside Bank is seeking a seasoned and motivated Compliance Officer to join their growing team. This is a highly visible, hands-on role that partners closely with leadership and business units across the bank to ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies.

Responsibilities

• Developing, implementing, and maintaining the bank’s enterprise-wide compliance programs

• Conducting risk assessments, compliance testing, and audits to proactively identify and mitigate risk

• Monitoring regulatory developments and ensuring timely implementation of new or revised requirements

• Providing practical guidance and training to business partners across the organization

• Investigating, documenting, and resolving compliance issues and customer complaints

• Preparing clear, concise compliance reports for senior management and regulatory agencies

• Serving as a trusted compliance resource across all functional areas of the bank

Requirements

• Strong working knowledge of banking regulations and compliance requirements

• Experience across multiple compliance disciplines, including but not limited to: CRA, BSARetail and Deposit regulationsReg E, Reg CC, Reg OFair Lending, ECOA, TILA, RESPA, HMDA, FHAFlood Disaster Protection Act and USA PATRIOT Act

• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills

• The ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with diverse teams

• A professional certification such as CRCM or similar (preferred)

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, business, law, or a related field

• Minimum of 5 years of compliance experience within the banking industry

• Knowledge of relevant banking regulations and compliance requirements

• Proficiency in regulatory monitoring and reporting

Pay

This is an exempt, officer-level position, with compensation commensurate with experience and qualifications. Officer level and compensation will be based on previous compliance experience. Salary range: $58,000 – $120,000
