Key Responsibilities

  • Lead client-facing compliance and security diligence, serving as the primary point of contact for compliance and legal teams during vendor review processes.
  • Develop and execute the organization's compliance strategy, strengthening policies, controls, and information security practices to meet institutional client expectations.
  • Manage commercial contract negotiations, review legal agreements, and oversee day-to-day legal matters while coordinating with external counsel when needed.
  • Partner cross-functionally with leadership, product, engineering, and sales teams to implement compliance initiatives and support business growth.
  • Assess compliance risks, identify improvement opportunities, and drive projects that enhance governance and operational effectiveness.
  • Build trusted relationships with clients by providing expert guidance on compliance, regulatory, and legal matters.
  • Monitor evolving regulatory requirements and ensure internal policies remain current and aligned with industry standards.
  • Support the continuous development of a scalable compliance framework that enables long-term business growth.

Qualifications

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree.
  • 2+ years of compliance experience within an investment firm, private equity, hedge fund, family office, expert network, or a software company serving investment firms.
  • Experience leading client-facing compliance, vendor due diligence, or information security review processes.
  • Strong knowledge of commercial contract review, negotiation, and general corporate legal matters.
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional initiatives and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication, relationship-building, and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred

  • Active Bar admission.
  • Experience working with institutional investors or buy-side financial organizations.
  • Background in compliance, legal, or regulatory functions within a high-growth technology company.
  • Experience partnering with executive leadership to develop and scale compliance programs.
  • Familiarity with information security, governance, risk management, and regulatory compliance frameworks.
