About the role
The Retail Compliance Food Protection Supervisor role at Hy-Vee is dedicated to ensuring all stores remain in compliance with regulatory requirements and Hy-Vee standards through food safety and sanitation assessments.
Responsibilities
- Conduct routine food safety and sanitation assessments of assigned stores.
- Prepare and communicate individual store reports based on assessment identifying food protection and sanitation issues.
- Assess and ensure store compliance with OSHA requirements.
- Track and measure results of assigned stores.
- Prepare monthly and quarterly summary reports.
- Provide support to project managers during remodel and new store construction projects.
- Participate in preliminary and final health department inspection to obtain proper licenses for new stores and remodels.
- Follow up on state inspections to ensure serious violations or non-compliance are corrected.
- Provide food safety and sanitation training and coaching to store staff.
Requirements
- Prior work experience in food safety, food processing, quality assurance desired.
- Experience and knowledge of retail merchandising and operations a plus.
- High school degree or equivalent required - post-secondary degree a plus.
