Compliance Assistant

Position Overview

B&T USA is seeking an entry-level administrative Compliance Assistant responsible for providing support in various compliance areas, including record keeping and responding to ATF trace requests.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Respond to ATF trace requests.
• Maintain Acquisition & Disposition/Bound Book records.
• Audit and correct ATF required records.
• Prepare and submit various ATF Forms.
• Prepare reports, research information, and resolve issues.
• Aid with periodic physical inventory audits.
• Execute daily inventory analysis; identify and resolve discrepancies.
• Locate items in incorrect locations, with incorrect descriptions, or incorrect stock numbers.
• Communicate with other departments regarding new items, changes of location, counts, etc.

Required Education, Experience and Skills

• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• 1-2 years of related administrative support experience preferred.
• Previous experience in a manufacturing and/or importing environment helpful.
• Experience responding to ATF trace requests; auditing and correcting ATF required records preferred.
• Experience maintaining Acquisition & Disposition/Bound Book records.
• Meet ATF requirements for firearm possession.
• Basic knowledge of ATF compliance regulations.
• Basic knowledge of firearms and safe gun handling.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent time management skills with proven ability to meet deadlines and prioritize.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.

Work Environment

• Office and manufacturing machine shop environment.
• Exposure to machine shop manufacturing elements such as noise, dust, odors, fumes, etc.
• Fast-paced environment.
• Must be able to access and navigate B&T’s facilities.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift up to 15 lbs unassisted and up to 30 lbs assisted.
• Regularly required to stand, sit, bend, reach, and move about the facility throughout the workday.
• Work performed in a combination of manufacturing shop and office environments.
• Exposed to shop elements such as noise, dust, odors, fumes, etc.
