About the role
The Law & Regulation Analyst II assists the Law and Regulation Department with ensuring Business Units adhere to statutory and regulatory requirements when performing company operations. This position promotes a culture of compliance throughout the organization.
Responsibilities
- Research property and casualty insurance industry compliance regulations and laws
- Aid in the management of the proposed regulatory comments workflow
- Perform audits and compliance reviews to evaluate / assess internal operational and procedural compliance
- Review, summarize, and distribute quarterly reports on Market Conduct activity in the states the Company conducts business
- Absorb and educate employees on regulatory requirements
- Support evolving regulatory compliance strategies, policies, and procedures based on new laws/regulations and/or business priorities
- Aid in the management of the Legal Referral workflow
- Analyze and review complaints and responses
- Support the Law and Regulation Department with special projects
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years property casualty insurance industry experience
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
- Attention to detail and organized
- Results-oriented, able to successfully take ownership, and problem solve
- Strong analytical skills
- Collaborative, with strong relationship-building skills, and a commitment to customer service
- Demonstrated ability to multi-task effectively while producing a high-quality work product
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite including Excel, Word, and Outlook
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree
- Property Casualty Insurance regulatory and/or compliance experience
