Duties and responsibilities
- Assist with compliance reviews, research projects, and regulatory changes.
- Gather and research records and documentation within the scope of a compliance review to validate compliance procedures and controls.
- Aid in analysis and evaluation of the documentation and application of regulations, law, best practices and credit union policies and procedures.
- Document observations and recommendations for compliance action steps as warranted.
- Read and summarize proposed and final agency (NCUA and CFPB) rules and regulations and stay up-to-date on industry regulatory and compliance changes.
- Log, monitor, and/or process legal documentation and complaints received by the credit union.
- Log and track subpoenas and complaints (litigation and agency complaints).
- Gather needed facts and documentation from applicable internal systems and departments.
- Input and maintain the internal complaint management system.
- Complete garnishment and levy paperwork received by the credit union and collaborate with the Accounting Department to effectuate the garnishment and levy orders.
- Answer questions received via email or phone call from credit union staff, members, investigators, law enforcement, etc.
- Perform follow-up and assist with department needs such as special investigations as needed.
- Draft summaries for reporting needs and proposed responses to individuals, members, and agencies.
- Input and maintain credit union policies in the internal repository by updating policy versions, tracking needed board or other review and approval, monitoring for changes needed to policies as regulations change.
- Other duties and functions as assigned by management.

Education and Experience
- Bachelor's Degree preferred.
- Desire to expand regulatory compliance knowledge with opportunities for training, such as America's Credit Unions regulatory compliance certification school.
- PREFERRED: Financial institution experience.

About the role
Liberty FCU, a full-service credit union, is seeking a Compliance Analyst. This position will be located at our Main office located at 4401 Theater Drive, Evansville, IN 47715.
