About the role

A Senior Project Manager for Complex Gas Turbine Modernization & Upgrades projects drives the successful execution of high-value, technically complex customer projects from planning through closeout. You will lead cross-functional teams across Engineering, Manufacturing, Field Service, and Finance to ensure project scope, schedule, budget, quality, and risk are effectively managed while meeting strategic business objectives. Act as the primary customer liaison, build strong relationships, manage expectations, resolve technical and commercial challenges, and provide clear stakeholder communication at all levels. Oversee project financials, mitigate risks, maintain rigorous documentation, and coordinate critical deliverables to ensure customer satisfaction and the successful implementation of gas turbine modernization and upgrade solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Lead complex Gas Turbine Modernization & Upgrades projects from kickoff through completion, ensuring delivery meets scope, schedule, and budget.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams across Engineering, Manufacturing, Field Service, Supply Chain, and Finance to drive project execution and resolve issues.
  • Monitor project costs, forecasts, and financial performance while identifying and addressing risks before they impact delivery.
  • Serve as the primary customer contact, providing project updates, managing expectations, and supporting issue resolution.
  • Track critical materials, schedules, and deliverables to ensure smooth project execution and successful outage planning.
  • Drive technical issue resolution by partnering with subject matter experts and field teams to maintain project progress.
  • Maintain accurate project documentation, contract deliverables, and status reporting using SAP and project management tools.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 5+ years of project management experience leading complex projects in power generation, energy, or a similar industrial environment; PMP certification preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage project scope, schedules, budgets, risks, and contract deliverables throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Strong technical, financial, and problem-solving skills with a track record of driving project execution and resolving challenges.
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams and managing customer and stakeholder relationships.
  • Proficiency with SAP and Project Management Information Systems (PMIS).
  • Legally authorized for employment in the United States without need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization.
