Complex Controller

About the role

The Complex Controller is responsible for overseeing the financial activities of the facility, ensuring accurate books and records, and aligning with the facility's objectives. This role requires a strong background in accounting and finance, with experience in a manufacturing environment, particularly in the corrugated industry.

Responsibilities

• Directs the financial activities of the facility, establishing and maintaining effective fiscal procedures and controls.
• Analyzes performance and recommends or directs actions needed to maximize the financial return of the business.
• Provides leadership to the accounting staff in terms of people development activities.
• Ensures accurate books and records in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles and compliance with division and corporate policies, procedures, and practices.
• Directs the preparation and analysis of the annual strategic plan, capital plan, monthly operating results, trends, capital projects, and operating forecasts.
• Manages the finance staff on a day-to-day basis, overseeing financial transactions, analytical work, and the development of team members.

Requirements

• Undergraduate degree with a focus on accounting and/or finance.
• Five years of experience managing financial or accounting departments.
• Three years of experience in a manufacturing-related environment.
• Proven ability to analyze financial statements and identify potential problems.
• CPA certification preferred.
• Experience in cash management preferred.
• Experience in the corrugated industry preferred.

Pay

$108,200 - $144,300, with variable pay opportunities.
