About the Opportunity

The Complex Claims Specialist role is central to the claims team, which delivers high-quality service and expert handling of cyber insurance claims. The position involves managing complex claims related to Cyber, Tech, and Media policies, supporting underwriting functions, and coordinating with various external vendors such as breach coaches and legal counsel. This role is critical in helping clients navigate cyber risk events and ensuring effective claims resolution.

Responsibilities

  • Manage intake of cyber events and coordinate with breach counsel, forensic investigators, and other vendors
  • Participate in after-hours claim intake and incident response coordination when needed
  • Evaluate claims thoroughly and recommend appropriate reserves
  • Maintain accurate documentation in the claims system
  • Analyze liability and damages for complex claims
  • Address insurance coverage issues and draft coverage letters
  • Manage and track third-party vendors and service provider activities and expenses
  • Maintain relationships with brokers, risk managers, general counsels, and vendors
  • Identify settlement opportunities to optimize outcomes
  • Collaborate on claim defense and resolution
  • Provide data and analytics support to underwriters
  • Support business development and marketing efforts
  • Liaise daily with partner carriers

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years experience adjusting cyber claims
  • Juris Doctor or Bachelor’s Degree preferred
  • Licensed claims adjuster in state of residence, with ability to obtain California and New York licenses
  • Strong teamwork skills and ability to meet deadlines in a dynamic environment
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively

Pay Range and Compensation Package

US base salary ranges from $110,000 to $150,000 per year depending on geographic location and candidate qualifications.
