About the Role
This position is for a Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) in Complex Care Services at a pediatric inpatient unit, focusing on the care of children with medical complexity.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate, assess, and manage care for children with medical complexity admitted to the service.
- Implement interventions to improve care systems and enhance patient safety.
- Collaborate with supervising physicians, nursing, and medical teams to ensure optimal clinical care.
- Serve as a clinical resource and support staff educational initiatives.
- Participate in quality improvement, learning, and research activities.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in Nursing or Physician Assistant Studies.
- Current MA NP or PA license with PNP or FNP certification.
- Preferred: 1+ year pediatric NP/PA experience, especially with children with medical complexity.
- Strong clinical skills with inpatient pediatric experience; new graduates may be considered with relevant RN experience.
Schedule
24-hour/week shifts, including day/night rotations and every 3rd weekend, with 12-hour shifts.
