Complex Accounting Manager - DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel San Jose and Juniper Hotel Cupertino

Responsibilities

• Oversee general ledger and financial reporting: Reconcile General Ledger accounts, review discrepancies, and guide team members in resolving issues to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Provide reporting oversight: Ensure accurate processing of financial reports, including month-end closing, monthly forecasts, and variance reports.
• Control budgets and inventory: Track and manage inventories and operational expenses to maintain cost control.
• Supervise payroll processing: Oversee timekeeping systems, weekly payroll submissions, gratuity calculations, and monthly payroll audits.
• Handle financial transactions: Ensure proper processing of received checks, calculate daily deposit transmittals, and maintain financial records.
• Inspire and develop the team: Supervise, coach, and mentor team members; conduct performance evaluations, provide professional development opportunities, and recognize achievements to build, retain, and engage a high-performing team.

Qualifications

• 2 to 3 years of hotel finance management experience.
• Experience with Accounts Payable (A/P), Accounts Receivable (A/R), General Ledger, and payroll.
• Experience with forecasting and budgeting is highly preferred.
