Completions Engineer

Overview

Handshake is seeking experienced professionals in the energy industry to contribute to AI research through flexible, hourly contract work. This opportunity does not require prior AI experience.

Details

• Using professional experience and hands-on knowledge of energy industry tools to create expert-level training data and evaluate AI-generated responses for accuracy and relevance.
• Fully remote with a flexible, asynchronous schedule and no minimum hour requirement; typical participation is 5–20 hours per week during active projects.
• Placement based on current project needs, with potential for consideration for future projects.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of professional experience in drilling, completions, or related energy operations, including roles such as: Drilling Engineer or Completions Engineer, Well Cost Analyst, or Drilling Superintendent.
• Strong hands-on experience with one or more of the following tools: WellView, SAP, ComboCurve, AVEVA PI.
• Excellent written communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently and asynchronously with AI research teams.
