Competitive Integrated Employment Specialist (CIE)
Position in the College of Education, Health & Human Sciences, Department of Curriculum & Instruction, located in Moscow.
About the role
The Competitive Integrated Employment (CIE) Specialist of ECLIPSE (Employment Capacity Leveraged through Post-Secondary Education) at the University of Idaho will deliver services to support the Vandal QUEST program. Vandal QUEST (Quality University Experiences to Support Transition) is a post-secondary program for dual-enrolled students with intellectual or developmental disabilities. The CIE Specialist will focus on job training and career development activities to improve CIE outcomes, working with Vandal QUEST and ECLIPSE personnel to develop and implement these activities.
Responsibilities
- Deliver training and/or instruction to individuals with disabilities.
- Develop and implement job training activities in collaboration with Vandal QUEST and ECLIPSE personnel.
- Support career development initiatives to improve Competitive Integrated Employment (CIE) outcomes.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in education, marketing, or related field (required at time of hire).
- Experience delivering training and/or instruction to individuals with disabilities.
- Experience in a leadership role.
Preferred Qualifications
- Communication and networking skills.
- Experience with post-secondary education programs for students with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
- Experience facilitating job training activities.
- Experience delivering training and/or coaching to support learners.
- Experience planning and delivering events.
Pay
$31.00 per hour or higher depending on experience.
Schedule
- Fiscal Year - 10 Month appointment.
- 84.6% FTE (Full Time).
This position is contingent upon the continuation of work and/or funding. FLSA Status: Non-Exempt.
