Competency, Training & Development Instructor
for each section heading.
We need to use - for any list of duties/requirements/benefits, and
for prose.
We must preserve all substantive info, not invent or summarize away detail. So we need to include details like shift, telework, travel, etc.
We must not include boilerplate like cookie/navigation/legal/EEO etc. The posting includes some like "ADA Accommodations", "Pre-Employment Checks And Work Eligibility", "Active Duty, Military..." etc. Those might be considered boilerplate? The instruction: Remove cookie/navigation/legal/EEO/equal-opportunity/scam-warning boilerplate, duplicated lines, and application instructions. The ADA accommodations and pre-employment checks might be considered legal boilerplate? Possibly they should be removed. However they are substantive? They are about accommodations and checks. The instruction says remove legal boilerplate. Likely we should remove sections like ADA Accommodations, Pre-Employment Checks And Work Eligibility, Active Duty..., Review our Tips..., etc. Also "Additional Information" maybe includes fingerprint etc. That might be considered legal/pre-employment checks. Might be removed. But we need to keep "Registrations, Licensure Requirements Or Certifications" as that is a requirement. Also "Initial Screening Criteria" is requirement.
We need to decide what to keep.
We should keep:
- About the role: from "Join the Texas Health and Human Services Commission..." and "Brief Job Description". That's prose.
- Responsibilities: Essential Job Functions (EJFs) list.
- Requirements: Initial Screening Criteria (education/experience) and Registrations, Licensure Requirements Or Certifications (driver's license, CPR instructor). Possibly also "Additional Information" about fingerprint etc. but that may be legal; but it's still a requirement. However instruction says remove legal boilerplate. The fingerprint criminal background check etc. is a pre-employment check, which might be considered legal. I'd lean to remove that as boilerplate. But the instruction says "Remove cookie/navigation/legal/EEO/equal-opportunity/scam-warning boilerplate". So yes, remove legal stuff like background checks, drug screen, registry checks, selective service, etc. So we will not include that.
- Qualifications: maybe education/experience? Actually that overlaps with Requirements. Could combine. But we need separate sections only if content. We could have Requirements (education/experience) and Qualifications (certifications/licenses). Or we could put all under Requirements. But we need to follow headings list: About the role, Responsibilities, Requirements, Qualifications, Skills, Benefits, Pay, Schedule. We can decide to use Requirements for education/experience, Qualifications for certifications/licenses, Skills for KSAs.
- Skills: Knowledge, Skills And Abilities (KSAs) list.
- Benefits: benefits package description.
- Pay: salary range, frequency, group.
- Schedule: shift details, telework, travel, full/part time, FLSA, flexibility, overtime, weekends/holidays.
We must not include headings with filler like "commensurate with experience". Not present.
Now we need to format.
We'll produce something like:

But note we already used benefits paragraph in About the role; but we also need a Benefits section. We might duplicate. Better to keep About the role brief, and move benefits to Benefits section.
Thus About the role: just the introductory paragraph about HHSC and mission, maybe not include benefits.
Let's craft About the role: "Join the Texas Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC) and be part of a team committed to creating a positive impact in the lives of fellow Texans. At HHSC, your contributions matter, and we support you at each stage of your life and work journey." plus maybe "Come work in an environment where we truly value and respect those we serve and believe in the mission that all people can achieve a higher level of wellness and independence." That's okay.
Now Responsibilities: list of essential job functions. We'll convert each sentence into - items.

We need to keep all that.
Now Requirements: Initial Screening Criteria:
- High school diploma or equivalent is required.
- Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university is preferred.
- At least one (1) year of experience providing services to persons with developmental disabilities in an institutional/residential setting or paid experience facilitating/ conducting competency-based training to employees or adult learners in a classroom or on-the-job setting is required.
- Have both is preferred.
We could also include "Must be at least 18 years of age" but that's in Additional Information; maybe legal? It's a requirement but could be considered legal. Might keep? The instruction says remove legal boilerplate. Age requirement is legal? Might be considered. I'd keep it as it's a basic eligibility. But to be safe, maybe include it in Requirements?
