Job Description
Supports the Compensation team in the administration and maintenance of compensation programs, processes, and data.
- Supports the administration and maintenance of compensation data within HRIS and compensation systems to ensure data accuracy and integrity.
- Assists with the preparation and distribution of standard compensation reports, dashboards, presentations, and ad hoc analyses.
- Conducts data audits to identify discrepancies and support data quality initiatives.
- Assists with annual compensation processes including merit, bonus, and promotional cycle preparation activities.
- Supports the review and update of job descriptions, job titles, and related documentation to ensure consistency and alignment with established job architecture standards.
- Assists with maintaining compensation-related content on internal websites, shared resources, and documentation repositories.
- Conducts information searches and gathers market data related to salaries, job classifications, compensation trends, and benchmarking activities.
- Supports salary survey participation activities including data gathering, formatting, submission, and tracking.
- Creates and maintains process documentation, tracking logs, and standard operating procedures for compensation activities.
- Supports compensation projects and process improvement initiatives through research, data and presentation preparation, testing, and administrative coordination.
- Partners with members of the Human Resources team to support compensation operations and service delivery.
- Responds to routine compensation-related questions from people leaders, associates, and Human Resources team members by providing information based on established guidelines and procedures.
Education and Experience
- Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance, Analytics, or a related field required.
- Required: Bachelor's degree may be substituted with related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and related experience.
- Preferred: 1 year of related experience in compensation, human resources, data analytics, finance, or administrative operations.
- Preferred: 1 year of experience working with spreadsheets, reporting tools, or HR systems.
- Basic knowledge of compensation principles, human resources practices, and data management concepts.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate and organized records.
- Demonstrated experience with working with data and reports.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and related business applications.
- Ability to follow established procedures and manage multiple tasks with accuracy and timeliness.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
Physical Exertion
Sedentary Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally (Occasionally: activity or condition exists up to 1/3 of the time) and/or a negligible amount of force frequently (Frequently: activity or condition exists from 1/3 to 2/3 of the time) to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time, but may involve walking or standing for brief periods of time. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally and all other sedentary criteria are met.
Travel Requirement
Occasional Travel occurs infrequently (typically, once a month or less).
About CoBank
The typical base pay range for this role is between $58,100 - $66,500. Compensation may vary based on individual job-related knowledge, skills, expertise, and experience.
