About the role
Elara Caring Hospice is a provider of home-based care, one of the nation's largest providers.
Responsibilities
- Listen to and support hospice patients and their families
- Offer companionship and emotional support
- Provide pet therapy services if applicable
- Assist with administrative tasks if volunteering in an office capacity
- Participate in crafting activities if volunteering in a crafting capacity
Requirements
- No special skills required
- An open heart and willingness to listen
- Flexible availability to offer 1-2 hours per week
Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Must be able to commit to the volunteer position for at least 6 months
- Must pass a background check
