Overview

Stripe is a financial infrastructure platform that helps millions of businesses accept payments and grow their revenue. This role is part of the Central Strategy and Operations (S&O) team, which focuses on the machinery of company operations to help the leadership team make better decisions.

Responsibilities

  • Run planning for Stripe, including annual planning and related workstreams, and improving existing processes through automation.
  • Build, automate, and scale central operations infrastructure, such as structured data pipelines, AI-augmented workflows, and new tooling.
  • Translate strategy into operational reality by driving strategic discussions in leadership forums and preparing and running leadership-level operating forums.
  • Drive continuous operational improvement by identifying and addressing root causes of operational breakdowns, challenging assumptions, and maintaining a running view of the company's operational systems.

Requirements

  • 15+ years of work experience, with a significant portion in operational roles at high-growth tech companies.
  • A track record of building and owning operational systems.
  • Deep experience with company or functional planning, including annual planning, OKR and SOKR-style goal-setting, resource allocation, and operating cadence design.
  • A systems thinker who is automation-first, reaching for tools, data pipelines, and AI-augmented workflows to reduce manual overhead and increase leverage.
  • Strong analytical rigor, comfortable owning data and metrics directly and pressure-testing assumptions without relying on a dedicated analytics partner.
  • Experience working directly with and presenting to C-suite and senior executive stakeholders.
  • A high comfort with ambiguity, taking undefined operational problems, scoping them, designing solutions, and driving them to completion with minimal oversight.
  • Technical proficiency in AI tools to automate workflows as needed.
  • Experience applying automation-thinking and scaled approaches to operational workflows, from analysis and synthesis to systems and decision support.
  • Prior experience at a technology company.
  • Background in fintech, management consulting, or investment banking is a plus, but not required.
  • Experience with the product and infrastructure ecosystem at Stripe or similar complex platform businesses.
  • Familiarity with modern planning tools, workflow automation platforms, and operational data infrastructure.

Qualifications

  • The role is available either in an office or a remote location (35+ miles or 56+ km from a Stripe office).
  • The annual US base salary range for this role is $191,500 - $287,300.
  • Additional benefits include equity, company bonus or sales commissions/bonuses, 401(k) plan, medical, dental, and vision benefits, and wellness stipends.
  • Office locations include South San Francisco HQ, Atlanta, New York, Seattle, or Chicago.
  • Remote locations are defined as being 35 miles (56 kilometers) or more from one of our offices.
