Company Driver - Florida Regional Routes

About the role

Scotlynn is a family‑oriented transportation company specializing in temperature‑controlled delivery. Based in Auburndale, FL, as a Regional Delivery Driver you will transport pre‑packaged school lunches throughout the region, operating reefers and box trucks, 36/48ft trailers with lift gates and 53ft trailers with swing doors, supporting customers in Jacksonville, Miami, and Tampa with an overnight run at least once a week.

Responsibilities

• Drive reefers and box trucks, 36/48ft trailers with lift gates and 53ft trailers with swing doors.
• Load and unload using a manual or electric pallet jack and/or hand truck; no bump and dock work.
• Record and maintain driving hours in a logbook and stay in touch with dispatcher for route instructions.
• Inspect trailer before pick‑up and after delivery, keeping detailed records of any defects.
• Follow all traffic laws and safety procedures.
• Keep truck and equipment clean and in top condition; verify load details and ensure secure transport.
• Review bills of lading (BOLs) and load documents for accuracy; obtain necessary seals, receipts, and signatures.
• Be willing to complete occasional overnight runs.

Requirements

• Current and valid Class CDL‑A license.
• At least 2 years of driving experience with recent professional driving experience within the last year.
• Current, unexpired DOT Medical Certificate.

Pay

Competitive salary paid by the mile with supplemental pay for total loads delivered.

Schedule

Regular Monday through Friday schedule, with at least one overnight run per week.
