Companion and caregiver part time morning and day hours in Charleston

About the role

The Caregiver/ Companion provides clients various personal care and homemaker/companion services in accordance with an established plan of care so that they can remain in their residence.

Responsibilities

• Personal Care/Ambulation: Provide assistance with bed bathing, changing, personal care. Provide transfer from bed to chair. Provide assistance with basic activities of daily living, provide companionship
• Companion/Sitter/Household Management: Provide companionship and respite services for family. Perform homemaking activities which include (but are not limited to): vacuuming, dusting, sweeping or mopping floors, doing dishes, changing bed linens, doing laundry and cleaning bathrooms
• Medication Assistance Services (with RN supervision and delegation)

Requirements

• 1+ year caregiving experience for caregivers
• Passion to help others, willing to learn for companions
• Willing to undergo drug screen and background test
• Must have reliable transportation
• We provide training

Pay

Shifts start $17-18 per hour. Pay 16-17/hr DOE.

Schedule

• Morning and Day hours available in Johns Island, West Ashley, James Island
• Companion – Johns Island, Monday through Thursday 9:30 am‑12:30 pm
• Companion – Johns Island, Tues & Thurs 10 am‑1 pm
• Caregiver – Johns Island, Monday through Thursday 5 daily hours
• Full weekend shifts also available
