About the role
The Compactor Technician is responsible for operating and maintaining compactor equipment to ensure efficient waste management processes.
Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain compactor equipment to compact waste materials
- Perform routine maintenance checks and repairs on compactor machinery
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols and environmental regulations
- Communicate with supervisors and other team members to coordinate tasks
- Document all work activities and equipment maintenance in accordance with company procedures
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver’s license
- At least 2 years of related experience in a similar field
- Knowledge of compactor operation and maintenance
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
Qualifications
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Good communication and problem-solving skills
- Physical ability to perform manual labor
