About the Role
The Community Planning Unit is seeking a Fall 2026 Intern to work a maximum of 20 hours per week in person. The intern will perform qualitative analysis of plans prepared for various communities throughout Philadelphia. After the initial analysis, the intern will review the data and organize recommendations from the plans to align with the topic areas covered in Philadelphia 2050.
Responsibilities
- Writing
- Editing & Proofing
- Qualitative analysis of community plans
- Data review and organization of recommendations
- Attending public and press events
Requirements
- Currently enrolled in an accredited Undergraduate program in City & Regional Planning, Urban Planning, Urban Design, Geography, Urban Studies, Community Development, Public Administration, or Public Policy
- Proficiency in Excel
- Research and data entry skills
- Creativity
- Physically able to attend events
- Must be a city of Philadelphia resident within six months of hire
