Comp/Electronic Mach Operator

Responsibilities

• Perform setup and operation of computer and/or electronic controlled machines.
• Work from operation sheets, specifications, blueprints, manuals, etc.
• Use shop mathematics, handbook formulas, and a variety of precision instruments to operate machines.
• Load, locate, and align parts in fixtures.
• Install specified numerical control tape at designated positions in tape readers.
• Place all console switches, selectors, and controls in proper sequence.
• Complete various operations necessary to operate the machine.
• Determine and make necessary adjustments to cause of malfunctions.
• Review Cordax readouts and assist Tool Design as needed.
• Set up new fixtures, programs, and readouts during operation.
• Maintain set-up during operation and correct tooling faults.
• Try out set-ups.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Ability to read and utilize blueprints.
• Ability to utilize measuring equipment.
• Previously held a position demonstrating the ability to set-up and operate manufacturing machinery.
• Satisfactorily completed company-provided or outside training demonstrating some machine skills.
• Knowledge equivalent to that required in the Machine Operator classification.
