About the role

As a Full Time Community Engagement Direct Support Professional, you will provide essential day-to-day services and training to individuals in the community. This hands-on role promotes independence and enhances the overall quality of life for those we serve. The position is onsite in Elmira and Watkins Glen, primarily with day hours Monday through Friday.

Responsibilities

• Support individuals with direct assistance in daily living activities, such as adult living skills, cooking, and budgeting.
• Accompany individuals on community outings, including medical appointments, recreational activities, volunteer locations, and personal shopping trips.

Requirements

• Valid and clean driver’s license and reliable transportation (required).
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities (preferred).
• Compassionate and empathetic attitude.
• Strong communication skills, patience, and a customer-centric approach.

Pay

$18.00 per hour.
