Community Support Specialist/Direct Support Person-Belleville

Requirements

• Must be 21 years or older and have a valid driver's license with less than 3 driving offenses.
• A High School diploma or GED is required and must provide proof.
• A criminal background check and physical is required to meet requirements of the position.
• The background check includes the DCFS/CANTS check for abuse/neglect with children.
• You must also be able to complete and meet requirement of a reading and comprehension quiz which is completed at the interview.

Qualifications

• A passion for providing care and support to individuals in their home.
• Ability to recognize and respect individual routines and preferences of the residents.
• Experience in personal care, cooking and assisting with meals, personal hygiene and grooming, and cleaning.
• Knowledge of and ability to support each resident's care plan and daily documentation.

Skills

• Strong communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Patience and empathy.

Pay

Starting base pay $19.05-21.05 an hour. Additional $1.00 increase to base pay after completing medication pass certification.

Schedule

FT midnight shift: W/THURS/FRI/SAT 10pm-8am
