Community Support Professional - Intensive - REACH (Roanoke Area) ($2,500 Sign on Bonus)

About the role

The Community Support Professional provides direct intensive community crisis stabilization and prevention supports to individuals diagnosed with behavioral health diagnoses served by the REACH program. They also assist with the development of and staff training in individualized behavior support plans. This position works as part of the REACH team to ensure services and resources are coordinated among providers as needed to help individuals served live and participate optimally in the community.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct intensive community crisis stabilization and prevention supports to individuals diagnosed with behavioral health diagnoses served by the REACH program.
• Affirmatively engage with individuals served to build trust and rapport.
• Assist with the development of and staff training in individualized behavior support plans.
• Work as part of the REACH team to ensure services and resources are coordinated among providers as needed to help individuals served live and participate optimally in the community.

Requirements

• Graduation from an accredited college or university with at least a Bachelor's Degree in special education, social work, psychology, or approved human services related field.
• Current registration with the Virginia Board of Counseling as a QMHP is required.

Qualifications

• Experience working with individuals diagnosed with behavioral health diagnoses.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Knowledge of crisis intervention techniques and strategies.

Skills

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively with diverse populations.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
