Community Shuttle Driver (Senior Living)

About the role

The Driver at La Posada is responsible for helping to implement the community's philosophy of well-being through daily interaction with residents and providing transportation to community programs, events and resident appointments as required. Provide exemplary customer service that encourages independence and fosters a secure and friendly environment.

Schedule

• Full-time with varying shifts
• Available schedules include Monday-Friday 9:30 AM-5:30 PM and 12:00 PM-8:00 PM
• Must be available to work weekends as needed

Pay

$17.00/hr - $19.00/hr

Responsibilities

• Drive vehicles to community events, shopping excursions, etc.
• Assist with scheduling transportation as required
• Promote resident attendance and participation in all Wellness Programs and community activities
• Monitor general maintenance and overall safety of vehicles
• Assist in setting up/tearing down Community events as needed

Requirements

• High school graduate or equivalent
• 3+ years' experience as a driver (preferably with seniors)
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends and holidays as needed
• Valid driver's license and proof of good driving record
• Clean / Valid Florida license required
• Commercial Driver's License or ability to obtain one within reasonable time of employment (as required)
• First Aid Certification or willing to obtain one

Qualifications

• Experience in wheelchair securement a plus
• CDL not needed but a plus as well
