The Role

We are seeking a dedicated Community Service Leader (CSL) to join our dynamic team. As a CSL, you will play a critical leadership role by managing a team of Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) in a group home setting. Your work ensures individuals with IDD lead self-determined, meaningful, and fulfilling lives through engaged community participation and high-quality, person-centered care.

Responsibilities

  • Team Leadership:

    • Supervise and mentor DSPs to ensure excellence in service delivery.
    • Provide coaching and performance feedback while fostering a culture of accountability and empowerment.
  • Scheduling & Staffing:

    • Create and maintain staff schedules based on funding ratios and Person-Centered Plans (PCPs).
    • Ensure coverage aligns with individual needs and program requirements.
  • Quality Support Delivery:

    • Oversee the implementation of support services, including Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), Instrumental Activities of Daily Living (IADLs), and community integration.
    • Adapt support as needed to promote meaningful participation in everyday life.
  • Communication & Collaboration:

    • Serve as a liaison with families, day program providers, interdisciplinary team members, and other stakeholders.
    • Maintain proactive, transparent communication with all parties.
  • Household Management:

    • Manage resident and household funds, monitoring expenditures responsibly.
    • Assist with emergencies as needed to ensure individuals’ well-being.
    • Ensure all documentation (financial and programmatic) is accurate and timely.
  • Hiring & Retention:

    • Partner with the Program Manager to support staff hiring, retention, and development.
    • Participate in onboarding and training new DSPs to uphold quality standards.
  • Compliance & Documentation:

    • Ensure services align with person-centered plans, regulatory requirements, and internal policies.
    • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records for all services and activities.
  • Additional Responsibilities:

    • Perform additional duties as assigned, supporting the success of both the individuals and the team.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent (required).

  • At least 2 years of experience in human services supporting individuals with IDD.

  • Strong communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and exercise sound judgment in dynamic environments.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft applications and general computer skills.

  • Valid U.S. driver’s license (required).
