About the role
UT Physicians is seeking a dynamic and experienced Community Practice Manager to join their Victory Multispecialty Campus in Houston, Texas.
Responsibilities
- Autonomously directs and coordinates both administrative and clinical operations for one or more community-based clinic sites outside of the Texas Medical Center.
- Collaboratively leads healthcare initiatives focusing on operational excellence, patient-centered care, and building high-performing teams in a fast-paced ambulatory environment.
- Maintains confidentiality regarding patient information in accordance with HIPAA guidelines.
- Makes recommendations to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, or improve daily operations.
- Develops and implements a cost-effective and efficient internal operations system to manage patient volume and regulatory agency documentation.
- Maintains compliance with OSHA regulations and ensures employee safety.
- Handles patient complaints and reviews quality assurance information related to practice and patient care issues.
- Solves operational issues and identifies areas for improvement in patient care and staff performance.
- Maintains clinical provider appointment schedules to optimize personnel, space, and equipment usage, including multi-modality specialties like X-Ray, Ultrasound, PET, MRI, and CT.
- Maintains a clean, safe environment for clinical inspections by regulatory agencies.
- Coordinates the daily and monthly clinical scheduling IDX templates for each provider.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Minimum Education: Bachelor's Degree required. May substitute required education with equivalent years of experience beyond the minimum experience requirement.
- Minimum Experience: 6 years of experience in clinic/practice management required. May substitute required experience with equivalent years of education beyond the minimum education requirement.
- Physical Requirements: Exerts up to 50 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 20 pounds frequently and/or up to 10 pounds constantly to move objects.
